Scream...Shout...let it all out!

Hey followers! How's everyone's post Football junk food diet going?

I hope you have gotten back on track...I know when that Sunday comes every year it's hard to skip the nachos/hot dogs and hot wings. Trust me I'm right their with you. But...I will say I paid for it later that night and into the next day because when your body is not used to the greasy fatty foods for so long it really causes an uproar in your system. Needless to say...I learned my lesson!

Sooo onto today:

I started my day with 1 large scrambled egg and 1 slice white toast (was out of wheat) and 5 sprays of parkway zero calorie spray.

Pre - lunch I had a small gala apple.

Lunch consisted of my Chocolate Mocha Advocare Meal Replacement.

Post lunch I had 1- 100 calorie tuna salad packet.

Dinner: 4 oz angus top round steak seasoned with Cajun seasoning. 1 cup four cheese rice and 2/3 cup steamed green beans.

Today's total calorie count: 995

I've been really trying to eat every 2.5-3 hours. This keeps me from wanting to crash..or binge eat because in starving. A little something every couple of hours keeps your metabolism fueled and your body nicely nourished!

I'm really excited to see what my weight is on the 15th as that's picture time. Ahhh!!! I love this awesome journey I'm on!

If you haven't started yours...what are you waiting for?

What the Heck Jamie, why haven't you been blogging?

Here's the truth;

Please continue to follow me...I hope I'm still inspiring you to lose weight...

Jamie

C'mon join the joyride.

This post is for Friday, February 1, 2013.

Good evening folks!

I know my post is super late...was sooooo busy today.

Breakfast: 1 cup dry Cheerios
Pre-lunch: 9 pieces pork skins
Lunch: Advocare's Chocolate Mocha Replacement

Yay...so I love Fridays because I get off work early afternoon. So I hit the gym. Since I was so mad about yesterday's work out I made myself work hard today! I set the incline on the treadmill to 5.0 and it remained their the entire 65minutes I was on the treadmill...yes I said 65 minutes...champs don't become champs overnight. I set my speed to 2.5mph...every 5 minutes I changed it so it was 2.5 then 2.0 then 2.5 then 2.0. This gives you some resistance and keeps your heart rate up so your doing nothing but burning amazing amounts of calories!

Now, I want to explain dinner....

As I've said before you can eat amazing things of you do your portions right. So tonight we went to dinner with some great friends and it ended up being Hooter's. I had already prepped what I would order because I looked up their menu. So the first thing I do is order water and I completely down the entire glass. Next, we ordered fried pickles....their about 6 calories each...I had 21 w/no dressing. Then for my main course I ordered 10 bone-in Naked Wings w/no sauce. Yep...super yummy and filling. I made sure to drink another 4 glasses of water while we sat and just talked. Made my cravings to order more or dessert go completely away. :) that's a plus in my book! I love being able to still enjoy myself at a restaurant even though I can't order this/that because I can...in portions!

So we got home and I felt I was still a little hungry and I had leftover spinach pizza so I had 1 slice.

Today's calorie goal: 1200
Today's actual intake: 986
Total exercise calories burned:746
Calories Net (intake-exercise): 240

Today's starting weight: 353.6 (-49.6lbs)

Who says you can't have your cake...AND EAT IT TOO?!?!?

Howdy!

How's was everyone's Accountability today?

“If you hang out with chickens, you're going to cluck and if you hang out with eagles, you're going to fly.”
--Steve Maraboli

The quote above is soooo true.

So today consisted of work and gym.

Breakfast:
1 cup dry Cheerios (I snacked on them for 1 hour) -100calories

Lunch:
Advocare Chocolate Mocha Meal Replacement and 9 pieces of spicy pork skins. (Did you know pork skins have almost no calories?!?!?)

So here's my struggle today:
Do you know how much faster the gym goes by when you have a partner who wants to do it with you? When you do it alone doesn't it seem like the time goes by incredibly slow and you don't want to stop because the people that watched you step on that machine know you've not been going for very long? That was me today :(. I still pushed a 45 min workout but I didn't do my full potential because ei just had no motivation to be there. It's like I couldn't stand being there working out all alone :(. So I did 12 minutes elliptical and 33 minutes treadmill. Burned a total of 402 calories....490 less calories than I burned yesterday. I'm going to have to figure out a comfort zone so I can push myself when I'm alone at the gym. Any suggestions are welcome.

Dinner:
Yep a boo boo. I didn't have time to cook and I was having a little ache in my right arm so I decided to get carry out at CiCi's my favorite is the Spinach Alfredo. It's 120calories a slice. Well I knew I had 800 calories left for the day so I enjoyed my 5 small slices of spinach. According to MyFitnessPal I actually had an ok food consumption today even with those slices of Pizza. Will that happen often? Oh heck no, definitely not healthy at all. BUT I've been so good...having your cake sometimes is ok. It really is. Don't deprive yourself of your juicy hamburger. Just remember to eat lighter during the day since the bulk of your calories would be that meal you've been craving.

So after food tallies & exercising...
I consumed 1000 calories
Burned 402
Net Calories: 598!

Amazing myself one food change at a time.

Want to ask me questions? Go ahead ill respond! :)

Today's weight: 356.6lbs (-46.6lbs)

I get knocked down...BUT I get up again.

My title for today says it all.

Just because you cheat today...doesn't mean you can't step your game right back up tomorrow on your lifestyle change, yes your not on a diet, your changing your lifestyle. I've had to preach and preach and preach til I'm red in the face this exact thought process to myself!

I stepped on the scale today...you betcha...I am bouncing back soooo I am definitely starting to think that some of my gain was 'water retention'....is that true? Well I'm not a Dr and definitely not an expert but it is a logical guess as to why I had an increase so drastically. Ok so 6lbs isn't drastic but to anyone losing weight I know it can be a bit discouraging that's why I titled today's post the way i did is because YOU CAN GET UP AGAIN!

So what did I consume today?

For breakfast:
1 cup regular Cheerios
1/2 cup Vitamin D Milk (yes, I have not scrounged up the courage to try 2%, 1%, skim or non-dairy milk).

Pre-Lunch:
Advocare's Spark Fruit Punch Flavor

Lunch:
Advocare's Chocolate Mocha Meal Replacement Shake

After work...I headed to the gym. I decided to see what I could do on the Elliptical Machine...this girl right here completed 20 minutes on the elliptical...burned 265 calories!!! That's like Amateur jogging for this fat girl!!! I was in tears...couldn't believe I did it!!!

After that, the best friend joined me at the gym and we climbed on the treadmill. We did 60min with a 5min cool down. Speed at 2.5mph and incline started at 5.0. Every 10minutes we reduced the incline by 1.0. After all said and done I completed 65minutes treadmill and burned 627 calories.

I came home to dinner cooked and laundry done...um husbands don't do that often so I'm totally taking advantage!!!

Dinner:
1 chicken drumstick (fried half/baked half in egg and hot sauce)
1 cup Au Gratin Potatoes
2 cups steamed broccoli

I am so satisfied!

Total calorie intake today: 1071 (my everyday goal is 1200; so I'm under!)

Also, just FYI...I always weigh first thing in the morning after I've used the bathroom and with no clothes.

Today's Weigh In: 359.6lbs (-43.6lbs lost to date)

See ya tomorrow folks! :)

There will be days...

Well...I started today on the right foot. I took all my medicine including my Advocare.
I intended to have toast, egg and almond butter for breakfast but that didn't happen as my sleepy self didn't get up until 5:50am! So I had 2 pieces of 100% wheat toast and 5 sprays on each of zero calorie parkway spray...total breakfast equalling 120calories. Not the best calories but in order for your body to burn you have to start your day with breakfast.

I wasn't too happy when I stepped on the scale this morning... +6lbs!!! Oh no. But I have determined that its water gain plus the fact that I am getting back to eating again (major anxiety=no eating) so...I will bounce back, as my coach Nathan says, in no time.

Today's pre-lunch and post-lunch snack is a small gala apple. The peel on the apple helps your body to not digest the sugar so fast from the fruit. The skin of the apple also contains: Soluable Fiber, Insoluable Fiber,
quercitin - one of only two major sources (bolsters the immune system), Phenols - help stop chronic diseases and Antioxidents. Keep in mind that the skin also might harbor pesticides so wash thoroughly.

Lunch- oh yes, my Advocare Chocolate Mocha Meal Replacement Shake. Amazing drops of goooooodness :)! I get full with good nutrition and not empty calories per say if I was to run to McDonald's or Taco Bell.

This is my update for now...ill return later for the rest of the days update!

Ok so here's the rest of my update:
This evening Nathan invited me to an Advocare Mixer...basically a tell-all! Met some amazingly wonderful people who have ALL lost weight. We enjoyed conversations and Spark (energy drink)... For dinner I had beef tips with noodles...just 1 cup. You can still eat what you want on Advocare...that's why I love it! See you tomorrow folks!

Start of my Journey...

I know this post is late for most that know me personally as I have been dieting for a few months now...but I wanted to fill you in on what prompted this whole change....

Over a year ago, my husband and I thought we were expecting...only to find out that I had PCOS...poly-cystic ovarian syndrome. I won't go into crazy details about what this but basically I wasn't fertile. So the dr told me that the only way I could have a better chance is to lose weight. I hated the fact that I had let myself get so large that I wasn't able to get pregnant.
The dr suggested I go on a 1500 calorie diet. I tried for a while and saw no results. A friend of mine introduced me to Advocare. I started the program back on November 26, 2012.
To date I've lost 47lbs. Has it been hard? Of course! You bet! I was addicted to Coca-Cola, Andy Capps Hot Fries and Cheese!!! I was eating enough food to feed 3 people! I've cut portions and follow a strict 1200 calorie diet now along with the Advocare products.

I will be blogging everyday. My struggles, my food intake, my exercise and all, in hopes that I will motivate someone else to make the decision to lose weight.

This is my journey. I'm here for the life change. Start yours today.

Starting Weight: 403.2lbs
